Audi initially came out with their own billboard.

Written: Your Move, BMW.

Well, BMW is not going to sit there quietly starring at that billboard blankly, aren't they?

Let's check out what they came out with!

Oh yea!

Do compare the size and the location of the billboard as well!!

An ugly woman is a lazy woman

One of my favourite quotes is from Helena Rubinstein. “There are no ugly women,” the founder of the eponymous US cosmetic brand had equipped, “only lazy ones.”

In other words, all women can look attractive, even stunningly gorgeous, if only they devote enough time and effort. This applies to men, too, but to a lesser extent, as men generally don’t wear make up and have more limited fashion choices.

As demonstrated by before and after images in makeovers, ugly ducklings turning into swans are not the stuff of fairy tales.

Each time I ride on the MRT, my sharp eyes notice so many dull-looking women with fine features that could have been illuminated with a little dab of this and a few a drops of that. Some of them dress like they are heading for the wet market or had picked up their outfit in the dark.

Are they too busy? Maybe. Totally oblivious? Perhaps. Or plain lazy? Most likely.

I once asked a female friend why she doesn’t do something about her perpetually disheveled hairdo. She said: “I’d rather spend that 10 minutes in the morning getting some extra sleep than blowing my hair.’

She might as well not wash her face and not brush her teeth to save more time.

My position is that if this is the way she wants it, then she has no grounds to complain that she is cursed with ugliness.

As a frequent traveler, I notice that Singaporeans are one of the dowdiest people compared to other developed countries.

A tour guide once joked to me that to tell Singaporeans apart from the Hong Kongers, Koreans and Japanese at an airport, one should simple look for the worst-dressed group.

I am not advocating overdressing or slathering one’s face with an inch of clay foundation. Yucks!

But every woman can do with subtle touch of colour on her lips and cheeks.

Neither am I talking about striving relentlessly for physical perfection. One does not need to be blessed with flawless skin, an hourglass figure and lustrous locks to be pretty.

One just needs to know how to cover up that pimple, wear clothes that flatter and find a good hairstylist.

Lose excess weight. No money, no time? Ditch the city gym. Jog around the HDB block. Don’t slouch, sit up, stand tall. Forget expensive cosmetics. You can get affordable ones from Watsons.

I don’t understand why so many women neglect their physical appearance when paying attention to it brings many advantages. At work, you appear more professional. At a party, you imply respect for the host. On a date, looking good drives up your confidence and further your chances of charming the man.

Don’t give me the clichés that beauty is only skin deep or in the eye of the beholder. That’s just a convenient excuse for lazy people.

The ugly – pun totally intended – truth is that men, with the exception of Prince Charles, like well-proportioned women with feminine faces and would prefer to date one of them over a horse-faced woman any day.

Denying or resisting this is futile.

Peple tell me that they like my fair skin. Trust me, I was not born with it. It is the cumulative results of applying SPF-50 sunscreen daily, whitening cream nightly and shaving and waxing weekly. Ouch!

So, sisters, if you hate being ugly, stop being lazy.

Sometimes I wonder why I am where I am right now?
I always tell myself I am blessed for what I have now.
BUT I feel something is missing...

Why does it have to be me?
At times I wished I left everything behind and start a brand new life.
BUT no matter what, nothing is gonna change from what I have been thru.
It's not like what I want to forget will in turn be a lost memory.

Although I feel lucky to have a couple of people supporting me BUT I don't feel strong enough.
I feel helpless at times.

I was once told I always wear my happy mask. Never much show how I really feel inside.
It's not I don't want to be an extrovert. I just dislike making people around me worried or unhappy about the circumstances I am facing.

I guess that's why I always feel bad about myself.

I don't know what
I don't know why
I don't know where
I don't know how

The Wedding Game (大喜事) Movie Premier, PC and Event @ KL

First of all, I wanted to apologize for pending this post for such a long time. But posting late it's heaps better than no posting at all rite? *grinnnnnnneed* =D

It was a very last minute plan when Lisa and I decided to attend The Wedding Game movie Premiere @ GSC in Pavillion invited by Josh Lim from Advertlets on 22nd January.

The movie premier for bloggers and media was at 10am!! Gosh. Not that I remember watching movie in the cinema so early! *yawn*

Ok, lets get back to the movie!

The Wedding Game is a romantic comedy directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham was filmed in Singapore and Malaysia (Malacca). The main cast for this movie is no other than the most famous celebrity couple in South East Asia, Christopher Lee and Fann Wong.

Jack proposed to Vikki publicly during a live award show. Vikki who was surprised and shocked accepts happily for the sake of pleasing the public.

However, the public is not aware that these so called “lovebirds” dislike each other since the very first day they met. This love affair was mainly designed and planned for the sake of the fame and fortunes of the two celebrity by their managers, May and Tom.

Things were going well as planned and both celebrities eventually fell in love until a lunatic fan ruined everything and both confessed to the public about their "relationship". Sigh. Do you think both will regain their publicity and support from the nation? Well, I am not telling you. =P

Personally, I find this movie OK. There are a couple of funny scene but nothing too exciting to be honest. It's very predictable and there is not much excitement about it. But, I love one of their OST, 'Wo Men De Ai' (我们的爱) sang by Hagen Tan (陈孟奇) and Cristy Yow(姚慧敏). The lyrics is really touching if you understand mandarin.

After the premier, me, Lisa, Josh (right) and Vanes (left) was so hungry and decide to have lunch at DainTi Hill @ Pavillion.

We want a candid!

Camwhored @ Times Bookstore

Me and Lisa initially not planning to go the press conference @ Ritz Carlton Hotel but was kindly invited by Vanes and Josh to join them as we are able to meet the stars in person. LOL. So me and Lisa finally agreed as both of us want to meet the ever fabulous Fann Wong and to check out if Christopher and Charles (黑人) are hot!

We camwhored while waiting for the stars to arrive!

Finally, the main stars for the movie! Fann Wong is soooo pretty and fantabulous. She is most likely the fairest person during the conference. Flawless. Glow like a diamond! Just like Snow White. So envy! I think no one would be able to guess her age though!

From left: Daniel Tan, Christopher, Fann, Auntie Lai Ming, director - Ekachai, Alice Lau (刘雅丽) and Charles Chen a.k.a 黑人

黑人 probably busy texting Fan Fan *winks*

While 黑人 was sitting down at one corner while the media doing some interview with the main stars and the director. I muka-tebal-ed approached him and ask.

Me: 黑人, 我可以跟你 一起 拍照 吗? (Hei ren, can I take picture with you?)
黑人 with a friendly look: 可以啊! (Can!)

While I was standing beside him ready for the picture, Vanes came and join us as well.
Oh, did you guys realize the sweater that 黑人 wore? Very stylish, kan? Come, let me ZOOM in and show you something....

TADA! It's the limited edition from Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage. According to Gin, you can only get them in Japan. Hmmmmmm.. rich fella!

Took picture with Auntie Lai Ming. Chiak Bah Beh!! She is so friendly and nice.

With Daniel Tan and Auntie Lai Ming.

Acting cute with Daniel.
Gin, you're not acting any cute wei! >"<
Had tea after the event. Clockwise from top: Fried mozarella cheese with sour cream and parley, deep fried yam balls with mushroom & cute mini tiramisu in chocolate cuppies!

I know I'm not here to eat but the tiny weenie tiramisu in chocolate cuppies is sinfully delicious! THE BEST TIRAMISU I've came across. The filling is so bloody creamy and rich while the chocolate cuppies melts right away in your mouth. YuMzzz! I'm so going to ask my mum to order this for our house warming next time... weeeeeeeeeee.....

Me happily indulge the snacks ESP the TIRAMISU!!!! OMG OMG OMG......... I want more NOW!

Daniel Tan later approached me and Lisa if we want to join him for a drink then dinner with other friends while lepak-ing till meet-the-fans session starts.

Met more people! Me and Lisa with 4 hotties. From left: Adrien, magician - David Lai, Daniel Tan and Sam Yeap. LOL. Sam's AX sweater glow like mad!

We were not that short ok. I don't know why we bent down a lil since we were not as tall as them.. Now this pics make us look heaps shorter. Did you realize the people on my side smile with their teeth showing but vice versa on Lisa's side. =P

Dinner @ Pepper Lunch. Sizzles sizzles sizzles. Taste OK but for me a lil overpriced!
Kong managed to get VIP pass for the event.

Red carpet with lots of media @ Centre Court in Pavillion.

Pics again while waiting for event to start.

and guess who we spotted!!!!!!!!!

The emcee of the nite.. Owen Yap!
He realized we were staring at him and Gin was holding his super canggih camera. So he was like.

Owen: Wanna take picture with me? *cute looking reaction*
Me and lisa happily nodded: Yes yes..... LOL

While taking the picture, he asked..

Owen: Do I look funny?
Me and Lisa: No no...
Me: You look cute!
Owen: Really, I thought I look a lil awkward today.
Me and Lisa: Where got!
and we happily smiled at the camera!

He was so cute and adorable! He even checked if the picture turn out well and he was like.. OMG I look funny. Let's take one more.

Haha! He is so approachable and hot!

We did not get to stay till the event started coz the they delayed the event while me and Lisa had to rush home since we've been out for a long day!

I have to say I had lotsa fun that day! Get to meet new people...

Sign out. Ciaoz!

I Trust Myself More Than You

Emoness fills into me.
But nothing change for who you are.

Poems. Stories. Chapters. Dreams. Hope.

Why all these sweet talks.
Why all the hopes when you are just not who you are!
You overated yourself.
Hating you for giving me nightmares.

Nightmares.. nightmares..
Scariness. Doubt. Hard to forget!

I don't love you anymore I know.
Letting go.

I will be stronger than ever because I trust myself more than you!

Finding An Engineer Boyfriend

Interesting ay!

First of all, I've been looking for "The One" who can give me the sense of secure, to at least know how to fix stuff for me when I needed help, independent and has a great sense of humour. I have enough of crappy guys! Just ONE bad experience it's ENOUGH!

Not that I demand myself wanting an engineer bf but just a random statement that I found which could make some sense here. And I think it's absolutely hilarious!

Have a look!

Let me tell you why girls should eventually marry an engineer over a Law, Management, Arts or Medical School Graduate. He has three distinct advantages over the rest of the graduates.

Advantage 1: Secure lifestyle

An engineer boyfriend can provide you with a secure lifestyle. At 27 years old, an engineer probably has a respectable, stable job that gives him a high income to own a car, invest, have a comfortable life, and get married and buy a house too. Law graduates are still working as a lowly apprentice in law firm, most management graduates have just failed on their first business plan, the arts graduate is still looking for a job, and the medical school graduate is still living in a hospital.

Advantage 2: Unmatchable industriousness

An engineer boyfriend will dedicate an unimaginable amount of his time and effort to understand you. Engineers strain really really hard to understand their work. You can believe that they will try really really hard to understand women too, just like how they understand their work, once they believe that you are the one. So even if they don't understand you. Initially, they will keep on trying. Even if they still do not understand, they will figure out the correct method to keep you happy (e.g. buy diamond ring = 1 week's worth of happiness.) And once they find out the secret formula, they will just keep on repeating it so that the desired results appear. Unlike the Lawyer who will argue with you, the Management graduate who will try to control your spending, the Arts graduate who will 'change major', and the medical school graduate who will operate on you. And you know what, it's really so easy to make engineers believe that you are the 'one'. Say that you like one of their projects and they will be hooked to you forever.

Advantage 3:

An engineer boyfriend will never betray your trust. Let me first tell you what is wrong with the rest of the others - THE LAWYERS LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING, management graduates will cheat your money, the arts graduate will flirt, and you probably just look like another cadaver to the medical school graduate. Your engineer boyfriend is either too busy to have an affair, and even if he does, he is too dumb to lie to you about that. Hence, an engineer is the most secure boyfriend that you will ever find rich enough, will keep on trying to understand and please you, has no time for affairs, and too dumb to lie to you. So girls, why procrastinate?

LOL! This might not make sense to the non-engineers but I just one to point out something. The Lawyers! I don't want to date any lawyers from now on. They are fake! Sooooooooo FAKE! I am not trying to discriminate here or something but I just dislike lawyers now. Even the lawyers going to be. I had one of the worst experience of my life with him. And he is the MOST USELESS person I've ever known!

Miley Cyrus - The Climb

I can almost see it

That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on, cause

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

I Cook - "Chili's Monterey Chicken"

I was craving for Chili's Monterey Chicken for weeks but did not get to go. So, I googled and found this recipe here.

Some of the ingredients are not found in Malaysia. So, I changed it a little based on what's available.

  • 1 skinless chicken breast (Pound till slightly flattened and season with salt & pepper)
  • 2 slices of crispy bacon (Tips: Wrap bacon with paper towel & microwave it for 30 secs)
  • 2 slices of Cheddar Cheese (My personal favourite: President Cheddar Cheese)
  • 1/4 cup of Mozarella Chesse
  • 1-2 tbsp BBQ Sauce (My personal favourite: MasterFoods Barbeque Sauce)
  • 2 large tomatoes (Diced)
  • 2 tsp of chopped chives/basil (Optional)
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
President Cheddar Cheese

MasterFoods BBQ Sauce
  1. Mix tomatoes, chives/basil with lemon juice and refrigerate.
  2. Slightly cook chicken breast on pan for 2 minutes and transfer chicken onto oven tray.
  3. Top chicken breast with barbeque sauce, bacon, both cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  4. Placed them in a preheated oven at 220° until cheese melt.
  5. Serve with the tomatoes.

(Note: My all time favourite recipe made by Better Homes and Gardens Australia which can be found here.)

  • 3-4 steamed peeled potatoes (Preferably white potatoes)
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter/margarine
  • 50ml of milk OR cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Mashed steam potatoes with butter till smooth (NO clumps.. i repeat NO clumps)
  2. Pour milk or cream onto mashed potatoes and WHIPPED it to give a fluffiness mouthfeel. (The best trick ever I've learned from my Australian mate)
  3. Sprinkled salt and pepper if desired.

Serve with boiled vegetable such as brocolli, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, corn etc. Sprinkle with salt and melt with a slight butter if desired.

Here you are... Monterey Chicken...Yummy...

Lets take a close look of the chicken!!

Can you see the 4 different layers? Tomatoes, Cheese, Bacon, Chicken with BBQ Sauce... OH HEAVEN!

Top with a glass of cold sparkling white grape juice... SizZLes~~

Any questions, feel free to ask me. Good Luck trying! Ciaoz~
